Shankar Prasad Acharya, PhD

Dr. Acharya is a former Executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank. He serve 30 years to the Nepal Rastra Bank in different position and departments including payment systems, corporate planning, general service, research department, public debt management department, foreign exchange management and bank and nonbank supervision department. He had been serving as members in different committee form by NRB itself and as a representative of NRB. 

He has written and published several journal and general thought provoking articles/papers on banking (including central banking), management (including HR management and marketing management), development finance, global warming and impact of climate change on livelihood and agriculture, industrial development in Nepal, job satisfaction, strategic management, employee motivation, corporate governance, risk management and in many other topics. He attended several national and international conferences, seminars related to banking systems, monetary policy and related issues in more than 25 countries.
